"11 Essential Stephen King Books" by Richard Thomas in BuzzFeed Books

This is for those of us who grew up reading King. I've gotten away from his later stuff -- I actually like his occasional short stories in the New Yorker better than his novels these days -- but as a teenager/bored Army private, I couldn't get enough. I would actually go with "It" at No. 1, but "The Stand" and "The Shining" would follow close behind. ... Here is Thomas's list
